I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Boots (Heathrow, England) in Jun 2019
Interview
So I am a very nervous person and I am 19 years old. I researched the questions before hand so I prepared myself. But no matter how much I prepare myself when I get nervous my mind goes blank and I stammer with my words. So in the beginning she introduced herself and in that moment I got so nervous and instead of shaking her had and introducing myself I said 'thank you' lool. She then took me inside and started filling in details which gave me time to calm down etc. Then she proceeded with the questions and the questions that I saw on glassdoor some of them came up but there were some I didn't know how to answer ie give me a situation where you had to be fun . But I talked about working with kids etc. She also asked how I would get there with the early shifts and my mind went blank but I said using the night bus that takes me to the airport. She also asked me if I knew anything about no7. And my mind went blank and I said no I don't. I knew it was boots own brand but that's all I knew and she then said its their brand etc and that I will get taught that during training if I get chosen. She then took me to the shop floor and as she already asked me the question about a specific product , she told me to look at an aisle and give recommendations on improvements. I was looking around for 3-4 mins and I then gave feedback. overall I was very nervous and she could definitely tell but I hope she can look through the nervousness. She told me that she will also be interviewing other people too so my chances of getting chosen reduce even more. I practiced the answers to questions like give me sit where you had to help someone and I had very good example for that but sadly she didn't ask that. In a few days I will come to know if I get chosen or not. Also when asking the questions she was looking down and writing the answers which was good as no eye contact made me a little less nervous. But this anxiety that I went through better be worth it haha
Just standard interview questions to check competency. Felt like a normal conversation nothing too invasive. Just things like that when was one time you delivered excellent customer service or how to do so.

Question 1
Give one time you offered excellent customer service
Not bad, as long as you’re confident, they were very welcoming. It was a bit lengthy but I enjoyed it and come out feeling postive, it’s overall just to see if you’d be a good fit
Quick and easy. Standard retail interview. Was asked to talk about one of their products, to talk about myself. Was asked about my availability too. Good luck if you’re applying!
