I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Reading, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
I filled in an application form online and did lengthy tests online.
2 weeks later, I had an interview.
When I arrived and explained I was there for an interview, staff looked rather confused but got a manager down from the office to conduct my interview.
The questions she asked me were quite hard to answer and irrelevant.
The interview only lasted 10 minutes so was over very quickly. I didn’t have to describe and sell my chosen product in detail as the interview email stated. I strongly believe they had already filled the vacancy but had to do the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When did you receive feedback from someone, what did you do and what would you do differently next time?
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
