I had my interview about around 2 weeks ago, I had to sign my name on this visitor's sheet and then had to wait in the boots canteen until the interviewer could come, then taken to an office. I was expecting to answer a bunch of interview questions but that wasn't the case they asked basic ones such as availability, hours, if you're studying at the moment and such. I was asked why I would like to work at boots, the rest of the questions, I didn't have that many - but they were based on what you scored low or something like that on the online assessment that you did. I mainly got teamwork questions such as when was a time you worked with a team, when was a time you have delivered good customer assistance as far as I can remember. The interview wasn't that hard but the questions were a bit tricky. I say don't worry about it too much but definitely practice what you're going to say for "why do you want to work for boots", if you have worked in a team before it's definitely good to know what to say about those.
After the interview, I had to go through a role play with a bunch of scenarios which are actually quite fun once you get the hang of it which included: being taken to the hair care aisle the scenario was that the persons hair wasn't shiny any more and they had been using the same product for a number of years, I had to say what I would do (what hair type do they have, what brand do they use, what are they looking for in a product) and give recommendations, I had to try selling the product of my choice to the interviewer, I was taken to a messy aisle and had to tidy it for a few minutes (pulling boxes forward, a different item was placed in a wrong area, making them look neat) - I had to explain what I did, I was asked what would I do if I had a whole day to tidy the aisle. I was then asked what shoppers, people were like - confident shopper, not confident.
Here's a tip that I've been told by someone if they ask for your proof at the end of your interview, it means you've got the job.
At the end of the interview I didn't know what to think, I felt like I wasn't that great. I was trying to pin point things I had done wrong in my head and I was told to wait within 2 weeks for an answer, I read somewhere that someone had gotten the call 5 hours after their interview, I wasn't getting any replies for a week. But luckily I got offered the job this week!
