I applied online, and I was invited to an interview via email. I could choose the date and time for my interview. There were some tasks, in preparation for the interview, one task was to familiarize yourself with a product and be able to sell it to the interviewer. At the interview, i was asked about my availability and experience, and then taken out into the hair care section, I was asked a question along the lines of, "what would you do if a customer asked you for a certain shampoo, which was currently not in stock?" I explained that I would suggest alternatives for them, which had similar prices and similar effects.
After this, I was asked to go and find my product in the store (my product was not in stock, so I had to think on the spot) I was asked to treat the interviewer as a teenager, and try and sell them this product, I had chosen a hair dye product, so I mentioned trends, ease of use and how it was an affordable option.
Finally, I was taken to a part of the store which was a tad messy, and asked what I would change about it, I said get the stock, so that there were no empty spaces, bring all stock to the front, make sure nothing was falling or in the wrong place, and that all price signs were displayed properly. Then I was asked to make the changes which I had mentioned (with the exception of getting the stock from the stockroom.)
