I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots in Dec 2014
Interview
Applied online twice and got invited for an interview the second time.
For the interview I arrived at the store 10 minutes early and was brought into their canteen to wait. The manager came in and spoke to me about the job description and told me that they are looking for a permanent staff which confused me since I applied for christmas customer assistant job. He then left me to wait for the assistant manager who brought me into the office for the interview.
Before the interview began, the assistant again told me that they were more interested in a permanent staff and my christmas job duration would be too short (4 weeks of my term holiday) to suit their needs as I will need to do training before I can start the actual work.
I was asked questions such as:
1. Why Boots
2. How do you overcome boredom.
3. Describe a time when you were involved in a team and had a disagreement.
4. Something related to teamwork
I did not do any shop floor interview.
