I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Derby, England) in Oct 2014
Interview
First I applied online, after a few days I got an email telling me I needed to take an online assessment which I did, about 2 weeks later I got an email inviting me to an interview. I read online about interviews where people were asked loads of questions and then took onto the shop floor to try and sell something. I was literally took into the room by the manager and asked about 5 standard interview questions. I was finished in 15 minutes. I was told I'd get a call later in the week if I had got it and an email if not.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
