I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots (Manchester, England) in Jun 2015
Interview
Applied online, received confirmation of interview a few days later. A few questions about me, asked about work history and if i could provide a 5 year reference list, asked me some more questions. Took me out to the shop floor and asked me what i would look for in a customer who looked like they needed help.
Asked me how i would improve the display of the shelves in the food section.
Asked me about the product i had chosen.

Question 1
Why Boots?
Why this particular branch?
Name a time you adapted to a situation in your previous job.
Name a time you made an error and how you went about repeating the process to complete the task properly.
Name a time you had to quickly gain the confidence of someone.
What would you look out for, for someone who needed help?
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
