Interview
Was completely flabbergasted that when I arrived for my interview I was told the only information the interviewer had for me was my name.
They did not have information on my online assessment scores, any of my previous experience or educational history. This was due to a technical problem. As a result the interviewer told me she was unable to ask any competence based questions. I knew then I had been put at a disadvantage.
Interviewer also said she was annoyed that she only had 3 interviewees as she was expecting her friends and fellow colleauges daughters to apply.
Done the shop floor tasks. No problems and good feedback.
Needless to say I did not get an offer and the job was re-advertised the next day. Hopefully the interviewers friends and colleagues daughters manage to pass the online assessment this time around as it seemed apparant this was who they were hoping to hire.
Waste of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How to spot customers that may need help and those that were already confident.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
