I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied online, filled out an online personality and decisions questionnaire, and was invited for an in-store interview, all in the space of 2-3 weeks. The interview took place in a storeroom with the senior dispenser and another woman, who wrote down my answers. It was a very informal experience, more of a conversation about my skills and experiences than anything, though it was structured around a set of questions. It only lasted around 15 minutes. I was notified by email a few days later to inform me I had successfully got the role, but as the suggested hours didn't suit me, I declined.

Question 1
Describe a time you have gone above and beyond what was asked of you.
Perhaps it was a one-off, but i found this interview quite odd. Hiring manager asked about me and mentioned they weren't well so asked me to just write on the interview paper myself instead of discussing it which threw me off completely. But a relatively short and easy interview, they only ask about three 'tell me about a time' questions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Boots in Jun 2026
Interview
Very disappointing recruitment process. I was told I had progressed to the next stage and booked an interview, but a few days later I received an email saying my application would not be taken further due to a high volume of applicants. To make things even worse, later on that evening, they reposted the role. The process felt disorganised and gave false hope.
Really quick and easy just a few questions interview went by very fast and was given a tour of the pharmacy which was also quite nice. Overall good environment and quite relaxed enjoyed the process
