I applied online, did online assesment, then 3 days later got an interview. Interview went really well. Was asked details about availability, hours I can do, when I can start. Was asked why I picked boots. I said as a regular customer at boots i greatly enjoy the legendary customer service all your staff give and all your staff know exactly what they are talking about, they always give good advice and genuinely want to help you.Asked about previous experience (doesnt have to be specifically to do with retail). Then asked 3 questions.Then had to talk about a product from the store (was told about this in an email). Talked about what it was used for, how to use it, the good points about it. For the next bit I was taken down to the shop floor and asked more questions in terms of helping customers. Then asked how I would tidy up a shelf if it was messy. Was told if I got the job i'd get a phone call and if I dont get the job i'd get an email. Got a phonecall the next day to say I got the job.
