I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied for the job online and was emailed an online assessment, I completed the assessment and two days later received an email saying I was successful for an interview and to choose a date and time. I went for the interview 1 week later, it was held in the canteen upstairs. The lady interviewing me had a thin booklet of questions she had to ask and was writing my answeres down, some of the questions were 'How would you approach and help a man going on a business trip', 'Tell me a time you've made a mistake', 'If you saw a customer picking up products and putting them down how would you approach them and what questions would you ask', 'why do you want to work for Boots' and for my chosen product I didn't have to go on the shop floor, the lady just asked me in the canteen what the product was, describe the product and then how would I sell that product to her.
We then went on the shop floor and she said we're going to take a look at some of the aisles and Christmas displays and I want you to tell me what you think, so we finished doing that and that was the end of my interview.
It was a good experience and the lady interviewing me made me feel very comfortable, I was told I'll find out next week if I have the job or not, so fingers crossed!
