First I had to complete a quiz online, then I got an email from boots saying I was successful and to book an interview. I arrived at my boots store and nobody seemed to know where I should go, I was sent to different places, and finally someone took me to the canteen to wait for the assistant manager. They seemed to very short staffed and nobody seemed to know what to do. The interviewer was running behind, about 20 minutes later i was took to the managers office. He had a little thin booklet to fill out with lots of questions in it, some of the questions more intense than the others, I asked him to repeat the questions quite a few times! Then, I was taken to the shop floor and asked to make the shelves look presentable (pull forward the items and make sure item front is facing forward), lots of people kept coming over to me to ask if i worked there/asking where certain items were, which i then said id ask someone for them.. bit nerve racking. Then about 15 minutes later, I was told to try and get people to sign up for the boots advantage card.. he told me he wasn't worried about how many people actually signed up but more on how I approached them. I approached people and asked how they were, if they needed any help, and if they were interested in a boots advantage card. Some people were nice, some were rude, some didn't care and some already had a boots card. Nobody signed up for the card and 20 minutes later the manager took me back up to the office, asked to scan my passport and then was it. He said if I was successful i would hear back the next day/2days max.. accepted that I hadn't got the job and I ended up getting the phone call 3 days later, giving me the job.
