I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Boots in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied online and received an email within the next couple days asking me to complete an online assessment and then a couple days after that received an email asking me to choose an interview date and time. I went in for my interview about 5 days later where I signed in and then was taken into an office to be interviewed by an assistant manager (all the interviews are done by managers now). They asked the usual questions about myself, availability and experience and then I was taken to the shop floor where he got me to talk about the product they had previously asked me to think about (on the email) and then he asked how I would sell that product to different types of people. Then he took me over to the No7 counter and chose a product for me which I had to take over to customers around the store and tell them about it (but not sell it). He then got me to point out confident and un-confident shoppers and tell him why I thought they were that. He then asked me to approach the customers I thought were un-confident and ask if they needed any help. The whole interview lasted 50 minutes - 1 hour.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you have had to change your approach to something to make sure that the task gets done.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.

Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
