I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Bourne, England) in Oct 2015
Interview
Applied online and after completing the online questions got ask to pick a date to interview a couple of days later. Was interviewed by the store manager, asked general questions like why do you want to work for Boots, availabilty and a few customer service questions. Was then taken onto the shop floor and asked about my chosen product which I had been asked to think about in advance and then asked a few questions about the shop such as how would you make an isle look better.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time when you had to be compassionate towards a customer.
Private interview questions - pretty standard just based on experience and given loads of time to answer. Then taken to shop floor to pick a product and how I would recommend/sell it.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would I do if I seen a customer who was looking around the store quite confused
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
