Interview
First of all you need to do an online assessment which will determine if you get a formal interview. Fairly easy, I would advise select everything you can that benefits customer satisfaction. Formal interview is mostly your standard interview questions. Tell me about yourself, what is your experience, why do you want to work here, can you give an example of a time you went above and beyond for a customer, how do you deal with difficult customers. Fairly easy questions, however I would really emphasise how much you love beauty and why, what it means to you and what you can offer with your skill set. They also love you to ask about career progression opportunities.

Interview
Interviewer barely listened or interacted with me, acted stuck up and rude. Rejected me because I didn’t have experience yet on the job description they don’t need experience??? This is a waste of time, the whole interview was 3 hours and I sold 4 products in under 15 minutes, all for free? I would advise to not even go to the interview, they waste your time and you make them a profit for free.
Two part interview process with a showcase and the second part a 1-1 interview. It was good fun and gave plenty of opportunity to demonstrate beauty knowledge. 1-1 interview was standard competency questions.
Online questions. Next you’re invited into store for a group interview and ‘showcase’ where you answer knowledge questions on the shop floor by asking other staff members the top selling mascara etc. You then have to engage with customers as you would in your job role.
