      Interview

A phone call covering my resume and expectations for the job as well as culture at Brighton Jones. Responsibilities discussed on the call related primarily to calculating metrics for client wealth management. I.e. basic excel work

      Question 1

      Walk me through your resume
      Answer question

I applied online. I interviewed at Brighton Jones LLC in Nov 2020

      Interview

3-step interview process all done over the phone/virtually. The whole process was primarily behavioral questions and nearly nothing technical. They're trying to get a sense of whether or not you would fit in well with the company. - The first was a short introduction to the company with HR. - The second had me meeting with a couple of advisors from the office I was interviewing with and lasted around an hour. - The third consisted of three individual interviews with advisors from around the company and lasted a little over 2 hours. Again, nearly every question was behavioral. Just be yourself and have a good time talking to some great people.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Brighton Jones LLC (Seattle, WA)

      Interview

The first step is a phone interview, which is pretty basic. Then there is an in-person interview. The HR guy rolled his eyes and frowned every time I gave an answer to one of his questions. I've never seen anything like that in a professional setting, much less an official interview. Total lack of class. If that's the face of the company, no thanks!

      Question 1

Why haven't you earned your CFP while you're out of work? Well, because I can't afford it until I have a full time job.
