Interview
1. Introductory call - had an introductory call with Recruiter (duration: ~1 hour).
2. Technical Interview - discussed about previous projects, problems faced and questions about how browsers work (duration: 1 hour)
3. On-site Interview (virtual) - had two rounds of onsite coding round of 2:30 hrs each.
4. EM round (If candidate cleared onsite rounds).
5. Zoom call with DOE (Director of Engineering).
6. HR call.
I was selected but HR said - "According to the company's policy, you've to give us your current salary slips and we'll offer a certain hike based on your existing salary".
Which means - even though two employees work at the same designation, their salary may differ by 40-50% because they were paid differently by their previous employers.
I withdrew my application after the call as I don't wan to be associated with a company that does not believe in Equal Pay for Equal Work.
3. Create and design APIs that can performs the following functions.
1) open / close Chrome or Firefox.
2) get the URL of active tab.
3) close the browser (with and without preserving history)
It was well coordinated. One round based on overall experience, system design. Round 2 was machine coding. Round 3 again was based on resume, design choices and Round 4 was HR.

The Recruiter approached via Linkedin and gave details about the company, asked for salary expectation and then scheduled for the first round which is the elimination round also.

It was smooth, the recruiter reached out to me via Naukri. He was very friendly and briefed me about the process and all the rounds. The interview process was virtual and I was ghosted after 1 rounds.
