I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BrowserStack (Mumbai)
Interview
I applied for the Technical Recruiter position at BrowserStack via LinkedIn. Shortly after, a recruiter reached out to me via email to schedule further rounds. The process consisted of 3 rounds, including an assignment.
Positives - The discussions with the interviewers were insightful and engaging. They seemed knowledgeable and provided a good perspective on the role.
Negatives - The assignment given was outdated, it was the same one used 2 years ago, with no updates or improvements.
The recruiter who initially reached out never followed up with a call, all communication was limited to cold emails.
After completing all three rounds, I never received any feedback. While rejection is understandable, it’s basic courtesy to close the loop and inform candidates about the outcome. The lack of communication and ghosting left a negative impression on the overall candidate experience.
While BrowserStack is a reputed company, such an experience significantly impacts a candidate’s perception of the organization. A strong employer brand is built not just by hiring top talent but also by ensuring a respectful and professional hiring process for all applicants. This experience has discouraged me from considering future opportunities with them, as it reflects poorly on how they treat candidates who aren’t selected.
