I only went through an initial phone screen with an HR employee who did very little to explain the role I had applied. She seemed more intent on selling me on the company culture than describing the actual company direction and goals.
When asked direct questions about how things have changed since the Bynder/WebDam acquisition she avoided the topic and never answered my question at all. I do have direct reports right now and the HR employee seemed very concerned about whether or not I would want to continue to have direct reports in my future roles (this position had none). The HR employee's only comment as to the company acquisition was to note that the larger company, Bynder, was basically planning to take the great features of the smaller company's DAM and integrate them into their core product and that this role would be "teaching" and getting the smaller company to adopt the use of the parent company's offering.
From her sparse description I gathered that this role was literally a position to implement and manage the use of their own DAM product internally to organize company assets. This position was listed as a role that would "serve as the face of digital asset management" and act as a "lead proponent for DAM capabilities and processes". The role seemed far less interesting than what was actually described in the posting.
In short, the reviews on glassdoor said it all. Once you get past the first page of fake reviews you'll see what seems to be the truth about the company: direction is unclear and leadership is poor.
