I interviewed at Charlie Health (Detroit, MI)

      Interview

The interview process was long but seemed to move quickly. The recruiter connected pretty regularly for updates. I interviewed with the CEO, Carter, and she asked about why I previously withdrew my candidacy for a role. I explained that it was a personal situation, involving childcare, and I knew that if I started a role I wanted to make sure any obstacles were not in place. I know-bad move- being transparent for a mental health company. We quickly moved on to other topics and it was barely a blip on the radar to me because a lot of other content was covered in the 7-minute phone call. I was informed by the recruiter that Carter decided I wasn't a fit because of my kids. Yes, the recruiter directly told me all of this information, and when I said that was absolutely not the situation. She agreed and shared that other members of the interview team also shared that with Carter, who declined to move forward because of a totally imaginary situation. This did occur over 2 years ago, and I would never recommend anyone for a role at this company. Especially given their updated job descriptions about being available all the time, which means being taken advantage of. Good luck to anyone!
