I applied online. I interviewed at ClassPass (New York, NY) in Jun 2017
Interview
I applied online and received a response 2 days later for a phone screen. After the phone screen went well, the the next part of the process involved a "take home" assignment. The assignment involved answering 4 questions that you might receiving from a customer working the role. 3 days after submitting the assignment (which also went well), the HR recruiter set me up for interviews with 3 CX Team Leads. I prepared incorrectly and anticipated many more questions related to what I knew about the company. A majority of the questions asked were personality based and likely structured for "cultural fit" vetting. Although I still believe myself to be a great fit with ClassPass, I was caught off guard and knew by the end of the interview that I hadn't done a good job at showcasing my strengths. I've also applied (and interviewed) with enough startups to know that if you haven't heard back within 24-48 hours of the interview phase, you haven't been selected. 6 days after the Google Hangouts interviews, I was notified that I wasn't a strong match. It was a great learning experience and I'll never schedule a morning interview again in my life.

The people who interviewed me were very kind and made me feel very comfortable. It was very pleasant and I didn't feel nervous at all. They seem to not only be interested in you as a professional, but as a person too.

I had a two-step interview process that first took place over the phone and then an in-person meeting. Everyone that interviewed me was super friendly and helpful. Instead of creating a stressful interview environment, it was personal, engaging and educational.
