I had applied for the position on July 12th 2016. I did not hear back for a couple of weeks and then it took a couple more weeks to get the very long written exercise. I am a fan of writting exercises, however this one asked me questions that I could not answer without knowing more about the company and my response would have been a consulting level project, not an interview question. It was a couple more weeks until the phone interview with the AVP, then a 30 min in person with the AVP. I generally don't comment on interviews because I am a professional in talent acquisition. I know everyone does it a bit differently, however this interview was one of the worst I have had in my career. Some of the low points were the AVP asking me 5 questions or so on the phone with no conversational follow up. If she was not reading from a script, it sounded like it. The questions were not particularly insighful. "What is your greatest failure?" Does not tell me about your ability to do the job, might give me some sense of what one thinks failure is, but again, not really an insightful question.
When I came in for my 30 min (too short) face to face, she asked me a few questions again, no dialog, no follow up or going deep on my responses. I am writing this in hopes that they improve their interview process at all levels. The total process took 6 weeks, about 4 weeks too long. Good luck Credible, I am sure you will get better at delivering an excellent candidate experience.
My recommendations - training your team on conversational interview techniques, get an ATS that has a CRM to keep candidates moving through your process, warm up and be friendly in the interviews.
