      Legal/Human Resources Interview

      Sep 6, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      South Jordan, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cricut (South Jordan, UT) in Jul 2018

      Interview

Intro = I applied for a role online (through Cricut's website / SmartRecruiters). The application was straightforward and easy to fill out. Given how excited I was about the role, I also sent LinkedIn messages to both the listed recruiter and the person I assumed I would be reporting to. I was pleasantly surprised that despite it being so close to the 4th of July holiday I received quick responses back from the recruiter and the hiring manager. The recruiter was amazing to work with. She and her staff were extremely responsive via email, and they also asked if I felt comfortable corresponding via text (which was so nice, as I felt keenly aware of the stops in my interview process). Process = Initially, I had a phone interview with the recruiter, and then was asked to come in and meet with two members I would be reporting to (an in-person interview that happened only 3 days after my phone interview). They then asked me to come in for a follow-up interview with a panel of Legal/HR staff members (all in one interview) and then the CEO (which amazing to me that the CEO is involved in various interviews for positions like mine). They texted me as I waited a few days to hear the results of my interview, but then they called me, extended an offer (over phone and more in depth via email), and answered lots of my questions about benefits, start date, etc. Overall, I have a very pleasant experience! A+

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Good interview questions throughout the process. One of the best questions I was asked was: If you were asked by the board of our company to start as the new CEO, what are 3 books you would ask your executive staff to read? (i.e., what are some books that guide your thoughts and positioning around culture and company operations).
