I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cummins (Minneapolis, MN) in Jul 2011
Interview
Cummins Interviews are mainly based on personality of the candidate and situational awareness . Very less technical discussion happens during the process. Its more about, if you are open to learning new things or not. The scheduling and the entire process is very well managed to make the candidate feel comfortable. Though the interview happens for 3-4 hours it is generally not intense.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Cummins (Columbus, IN) in Dec 2023
Interview
Overall, it was a good interview. The hiring manager was very knowledgeable about emissions certification and testing. However the job description missed some key experience required for the role which I was not aware of.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cummins (Pune City) in Sep 2017
Interview
There was only one round of interview for me from the manager. Purely a technical round of the interview. A call from HR to attend it. I was interest in the position as it was for a group lead role.

Question 1
Role was specific to people management.
SO the questions were related to it
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cummins (Pune) in Feb 2015
Interview
MOST DISRESPECTFUL treatment I ever received by any recruiter! On the day of interview, the interviewer didn't turn up for the interview.
I was invited for a face to face interview by HR after they saw my profile on an online job portal. On arrival at the interview location (Cummins' office at Balewadi, Pune) HR kept me waiting at the front desk for 1 hour. For the first 30 minutes, HR person gave me no reason why I'm not escorted into the building. After making multiple phone calls to the HR person, I was finally told that the interviewer has not yet arrived to the office. I still waited for 30 more minutes upon HR's request; only to come to know that the interviewer has not yet arrived. Till the end, HR couldn't give me a convincing answer to my simple question "When the interviewer is expected to reach to office?"
This behavior shows that people working at this office have no respect for someone's time.
