Interview
I was contacted via email after the company found my resume online in which I responded to. Ended up having a 20-25 min phone "interview" where we discussed my experience, the position and the company. Nothing formal at all. The interviewer really talked up the company (obviously) and sounded genuinely interested in my skills and experience. At the end of the call, I was told that I'd be receiving an email to take a personality test. The interviewer said that it was just to get an idea of my personality and that there were no right or wrong answers. They made it sound like it was just a casual test and that once completed, I’d be contacted to schedule an in person interview. Several days later I received an email telling me that they decided to go in a "different direction" for this role. Well, I put two and two together and realized that it was VERY likely that they simply didn't like the results of this personality test that I took. I thought there were no right or wrong answers so how could I fail? I mean, I never had a formal interview so it had to be based off of my test results, right?
I personally find it horrible that a company is going to filter out potential interviewees by using a ridiculous personality test. How about you actually interview the candidate instead of relying on a test to pick and choose who you want to move on to the interview process. Waste of my time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you looking to leave your current employer?
Phone interview with recruiter. Asked basic questions. I’m a professional with a masters degree and 11 years of experience and the recruiter asked if I was “really ready to make the jump to a traditional 9-5 in the office”. I work in a professional setting from 7:30-5:30…
After passing the phone screen candidates are asked to complete a subjective and time intensive personality test. Overkill for an entry level, low-paying position. Received emails past 9pm EST from the recruiter based on the east coast. Too many red flags regarding culture to move forward.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Employee Navigator (Sandy, UT) in Aug 2023

It was a nice process working with the recruiter and meeting with the team on-site. It was a longer interview process, as I met with 4 people. But all in all, they were great and I loved the opportunity to interview with them.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Employee Navigator (Frederick, MD)
