Received an email response approximately 4-6 weeks after submitting my application, expressing interest in my candidacy. The initial 30-minute interview went well, and the HR was very enthusiastic about moving me forward in the interview process. After following up one week later, I was informed that they would get back to me, but there's been zero communication since then. It's been over a month now, and I haven't received any updates, which is disappointing and leaves me uncertain about the status of my application. I was excited about Empowerly, but this is extremely unprofessional. Is this how they communicate internally or with students/families, or how they treat people once they're employed there?

April 14: I received a referral for the role from a current employee
April 16: I was invited to apply via the website, where I submitted my resume and other basic information
April 27: Having not heard from the company in ten days, I followed up, and quickly received a response prompting me to fill out a supplemental application with in-depth questions regarding the admissions process, scenarios on how to advise applicants in specific circumstances, etc. I submitted the application within a day
May 23: Having not heard from the company in nearly a month, I followed up for an update on my candidacy or their process timeline. I received no response.
June 8: I again followed up with HR letting them know that I had received an offer from another college admissions coaching firm that would require a response within a few days, but that I would still like to be considered for Empowerly and that it would be great to receive an update on my candidacy or the process timeline. Again, I received no response.
I am not sure if the process / communication is simply managed incompetently, or if the company has a policy of "ghosting" applicants who they choose not to hire, but either way this is pretty unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering the time investment (multiple hours) that was required to fill out the supplemental application.
