      Project Manager Interview

      Jan 31, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Jan 2019

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter through Handshake. I applied and almost immediately got an email to set up a phone interview. I waaaay over-prepared for this portion. The questions were incredibly basic ("Why your school? Why your major? Why Epic? etc"). The phone interview was pretty awkward as the interviewer is not an HR rep but a person in the position. Called late and spent several minutes talking about the weather where I'm from. They got to me pretty quickly about setting up the IQ test and Rembrandt test. Rembrandt was whatever but the IQ test sucked. If you, like me, haven't taken a math class since high school (and weren't that good at math anyway) you are screeeewwwwed. The panic of wanting to good in the interview wasn't helpful either. Also, the programming part was insanely weird. They were quick to get back to me with the decision.

      Interview

Interview was 3 hours long. It started with a general introduction of the company with 2 different people, then a 10 min case study on how you would approach a project followed by a presentation on a topic of your choice and finally the interview segment with the HR.

      Interview

Incredibly long and tedious process; it honestly just felt like whoever could last the whole time got the job, because it felt that much of a test. The "interview" was information session after information session, and the actual interview wasn't even that hard. I think it is highly dependent on your test score.

Compared to the other possible job position [that they suggest to you], how do you like the project manager role in comparison?
