Epiq Learning and Development Manager interview questions

I had an initial screening call with a recruiter and was moved forward to a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager mentioned being on vacation the next week after the interview so there might be a bit of a delay in hearing next steps... And I just never heard anything again. It's been about a month. I don't expect feedback at this interview stage (or really ever), but after a hiring manager interview, I think it's appropriate to receive the generic "moving forward with other candidates that better match the profile of the job" email rather than being ghosted. Not sure if it's a true red flag or the communication just got missed, but not a great impression.
