I found out about the opening online from a job board. About 3 days after e-mailing my resume, the personal training recruiter e-mailed me asking what type of experience I had. After my response she told me that she would forward my resume to the Pasadena location. For a week I heard nothing from anyone. She then got in contact with me said that they were having an open house if I wanted to attend, she could reserve a spot for me. I took the offer. The open house was on a Monday at 1:30, but actually didn't start till about 2. They had at least four "managers" in there plus the personal trainer recruiter. She told us about the company background and so forth. She also went to talk about the great benefits of working with the company, like continued education and great pay.. When she was done she had everyone stand up one by one and introduce ourselves and give a brief insight on our skills background and why we want to work with the company. When that was over they gave us a tour of the place and then said they would contact us sometime that week.I received a call within 2hrs after leaving to come in for an audition interview the next day. That interview was scheduled for 2:30 but started 15 mins late. They had me assess a guy that was also at the open house and then take him on the floor and train him while 3 of their managers stood ther with clip boards taking notes. Very uncomfortable. They all stood there with very serious faces and I swear they did not smile or at least smirk not once during the whole process. After that was done I was taken into a room with 2 of the managers where one tried to tell me that I wasn't doing things that I did for sure. As in checking the clients form and cheering him on. From that point I figured it was a bunch of bull. He then went on to tell me how their clients pay alot of money and they someone that's going to be like a cheerleader out there (although this is not what you see on the floor when you're checking the place out). Anyway they sent me an e-mail the next day saying that they want to look at other prospects. The recruiting manager e-mailed me right after and asked me if I can take a look at their website and see if there are any other locations that I would be interested in. So off to another open house I went (same process). And now just got a call for an interview with them (lets see how that goes).
