      Project Coordinator Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flipp (Etobicoke, ON) in Feb 2016

      Interview

After applying online, I heard back within a day asking to schedule a phone interview. It was relatively simple, with the typical screening questions. Although, I did find it very abrupt in the end, as I wasn't given the option to ask any questions and the manager just said he would get back to me and hung up. I was asked to come in to the office for the next round, I was initially terrified after reading the comments on glassdoor and previous candidates experiences. We started with a tour of the office and then sat down for the interview. I met with 2 project leads, who drilled my resume down - they were really nice and easy to talk, it wasn't a difficult interview by any means if you came prepared, it was just lengthy (1 hour) and a lot of questions. Most questions were based on understanding your previous roles, experiences and how that would all tie in for the position you were applying to at Flipp. Once we were done I was asked to wait for the HR manager, 20 min later 2 other men walked in saying I passed my 2nd round and I'm up for my next interview right now - took me by surprise completely. This interview was with the directors, and more behavioural based, this interview was about another 30 min long. Overall, I would say my 2 in-person interviews were long, but it gave me a lot of opportunity to talk to the people that work there and learn about the company and job, while they learnt about me to see if I were a good fit. It was a positive experience, and I was little upset to find out I didn't make the cut.

      Interview

Phone interview in the first round followed by an in-person interview. The process is lengthy but it helps to weed out bad candidates. A presentation is needed in the last round which is fairly straight forward.

      Interview

Received a response for a phone interview a few days after I submitted my application. Phone interview (with HR) was mostly just a review of your experience. First in-person interview (Project Lead and Operations Manager) was similar, just more in-dept questions. Second in-person interview (Project Lead and Operations Director) was a presentation and questions about your fit into the Flipp culture.

      Project Coordinator Interview

      Sep 11, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Flipp in Aug 2016

      Interview

I was contacted for an initial phone interview by a recruiter after a few days of applying. She asked to me to reschedule the interview twice at the last minute. During the interview, I could hear a dog barking in the background which was distracting. She seemed to rush me through especially towards the end. One of the questions I asked at the was to get insight on the team I would be working with. Her answer was "What team?" She went on to describe the EA/PAs that work in the company and this is when I realized she was talking about a completely different position that I did not apply for. It left a bad impression that the recruiter messed up a crucial point as the actual job I applied for. Just from this point I would not have wanted to advance and seek employment if this is the type of unprofessional and disorganized behaviour the company represents.
