Formlabs Mechanical Engineer interview questions

5 question free response technical exam (2hrs). A remote interview with engineers asking about answers (hrs), in-person interviews in Boston with different staff if passed (6 hrs), and additional calls after.

Applied back in October, and only heard back at the end of Fabruary. First round was an hour-long phone call with a technical recruiter and an engineer. Pretty behavioral, mostly to get fit and experience. They did show their cards pretty early on, emphasis on fast pace, long hours. They have a clear implication of their lack of work-life balance at least. Next was a timed assessment, just a series of design problems but I definitely did not have enough time to really work them all out. Following was a video call with hiring managers to review your assessment. I could kind of tell from early on that they weren't totally vibing with me, but I also could have done better on the assessment.
