Initial interview started with the application process, and then a short quiz to demonstrate knowledge of various wines, alcohols, food preparation, meat temperatures, bottle service, etc.
Had a brief sit down with a manager, asked basic interview questions such as what my history in the field is, what do I expect from the company, why do I want to work for them, etc.
Scheduled second interview, which consisted of a sit down with one of the assistant general managers, asked about how I have reacted to bad guest experiences and what I did to amend them, asked me what my greatest weakness was and why.
Scheduled a stage, showed up and performed the stage (basically, a working interview). I followed a server for about an hour, he asked me about myself, what I know about the food service industry, food and wine knowledge, but really, he was just looking to see how I performed, whether or not I jumped in and started helping or just stayed back and watched (don't do that), and to see how I would fit on the crew.
After the stage, the manager met with the server, came back and hired me.
The biggest tips I can give:
Show initiative in your stage, don't take charge but definitely help out and ask A LOT of questions to the server.
Ask questions during the sit down interviews, don't give a soap box of yourself, Fox restaurants get a ridiculous amount of applications so stand out and show you're truly interested in the company, and not just the money.
Brush up on basic wine and food knowledge.
Finally, just show that you truly want to be there. A lot of people want to work for Fox because the restaurants are all successful, show them why they NEED you.
