I was initially contacted by a member of HR for a Skype interview. It lasted for about 30 minutes. He asked me basic questions about my work experience, school, GPA, why do I want to work at Fragomen, interest in immigration law, etc. After the interview he said he would get back in contact with me if I was selected for a in-person interview. About a week later, a different member of HR called me saying that they would like to see me for an in-person interview. Over the phone he explained that I would be meeting with four different members of the firm and it would last around 2 hours.
When I came in for my in-person interview I met with someone from HR who briefly explained what she does and gave me a brief overview of the assistant paralegal position. It was more of a conversation rather than an interview. She asked me about my work experience, why I was interested in working for Fragomen, etc. When I asked questions she really wasn't able to answer in depth but said I can ask more questions when I met with the other representatives of the firm.
Next, I met with an attorney who mostly talked about the cases she was in charge of and asked me questions about my organizational skills. After that I met with a paralegal case manager and another attorney, which each lasted 30 mins. In both interviews they asked me what did I know about Fragomen, why did I want to work there, interest in immigration law, my organizational skills, and how can my job experience be helpful to the position. Overall, I felt the interviews were positive even though everyone seemed really busy, stressed out and had a lot going on.
A week later I was contacted by a member of HR who was the same person who conducted my video interview. He told me that he received positive feedback from my interviews and would get back in contact with me. Two weeks later, I called that same HR representative for a status update on the position. He stated that they have not made a decision yet but he would get in contact with me as soon as he had an update however he never called me back. I ended up taking another position at a another job I was interviewing for around the same time.
