I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FreedomPay (Phila, PA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Interview was virtual due to Covid-19. Interview was uncomfortable from the start. I was treated as though I was wasting everyone's time. Five people were on the call, most did not say a word, no idea why they were invited. The purpose of the interview seemed more like an opportunity to humiliate me than learn of my experience and skills by asking design questions about their product despite having no knowledge of the product's design. This interview left no doubt that I would not accept any offer no matter what the salary might be. If they cannot treat you with respect in the interview, just imagine how you will be treated as an employee. Be prepared - hiring manager seems to enjoy making people squirm.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FreedomPay in Feb 2020
Interview
Quick phone screen, first onsite interview with multiple interviewers had a code test, very relaxed and informal. Met with VP while on site. Requested to interview with their web team since I was looking for a full stack position. Came back for an onsite interview with the web team including their director and a few team leads. Again very informal, great back and forth conversation. Simple code "test" to see my thought process. Overall not your typical uptight interview process.
