Typical, we scheduled a phone interview (screener) one of my weirder interviews. Felt like the recruiter was new since I've had many phone screeners before I felt it was quite awkward, lulls in the conversation. Usually the HR person covers the company details and job duties but instead he kept asking me what I knew and to expand on that even after I already said what I knew. Just some basic behavior questions, when I answered a Q there was no response or comment on the A. When I asked what the company culture was like and he just said it's a typical 9-5 with holidays and weekends off....not really about the culture other than a straight fact. It was an entry level accounting clerk/ar & ap position but seemed like a lot of hoops to jump through but that's the nature of the job market these days
