Interview
The interview process was frustrating to say the least. I had a phone interview, and then was asked available dates for a series of video conference interviews. I gave a couple days of availability and didn't hear anything back until two days before the video interviews. They then scheduled 4 hours of interviews across two afternoons, where I met with seven people. I then had to interview with an eighth person the following day. I was told I would hear back by the end of the week with a decision. When I didn't hear back, I followed up and was told the following week. I didn't hear back again, waited, followed up again, and was told to wait another week. Rinse and repeat for weeks. I wanted an answer so I followed up after three weeks of hearing nothing. I was told they were onboarding another person I might have to also meet with! I waited another three weeks of hearing nothing. Got another answer to keep waiting. I followed up again after a few weeks. I was FINALLY told that I didn't get the job and they decided to hire someone else. I was left waiting on an answer for MONTHS, only to be strung along like I ever had a chance of getting the job. If they didn't want to hire me, or decided not to fill this position, the decision shouldn't have taken over two months. I'm not blaming anyone from HR or anyone I interviewed with, this seems like a systemic problem of no one can/has the authority make a decision. It's probably a good thing I didn't get the job if this is the way the company is run.
