Interview
Initially contacted by phone.
During the interview they ask you about company history (what did Gap first sell, who were its founders etc)
They then take you into the store and ask you to put together an outfit with the occasion they give you. Mine was Business Casual.
It was not a 1:1, mine had another interviewee so I was basically trying to top him. They are very into customer service so mention that a lot.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you balance customer service and the cash register?
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
