I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I had a friend who works at Gap that told me they were hiring. He told one of the managers that he had a friend that was interested in getting a job. I was told to call in to set up an on the ground interview. Was also told that although I already had a interview, I needed to also apply online as a formality. Showed up for an interview that lasted maybe 20 minutes. Very friendly interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was honestly a pretty easy interview. All the questions were behavioral. The most difficult one was what would you do if there was a customer that was angry.
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
