I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Gap (New York, NY) in Aug 2010
Interview
I feel spoiled for all other career endeavors, because this process was so quick. I applied online for the position on a Tuesday morning, got a call for an interview three hours later, went in two days later to interview, and was offered the position before I left the store. I interviewed with two managers from different departments and after was told to sit and wait for about 10 minutes. When they returned they told me which department they thought I'd fit best in and offered me the job.

Question 1
How would you change your selling technique when dealing with a male customer versus a female customer?
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
