I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap in Oct 2012
Interview
I applied online as a sales associate. About 2 months later, I got a call to ask to come in for a group job interview. I dressed in black slacks and a nice top, not too business...more casual. The job interview consisted of the interviewer and two other potential hires. The interviewer would ask a question and then go down the line and we would all give our responses. At the end of the interview, she told us that she would call us if we got the job.

Question 1
What was your biggest challenge dealing with customer service and how did you solve the problem?
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
