I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gap in Apr 2012
Interview
I received a call for the initial over the phone interview, I had applied about six months earlier. So I almost forgot I had applied. It was a group interview there were about eight of us, they asked a question and you voluntarily answered. I tried to be the first to answer the first question and then second on the others and pull together my thoughts while the others fought to be the first on the next question. I had already established myself as a leader on that first question. I could see by the looks on their faces, they wish they had been first and they will be first next time.

Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
