I applied online. I interviewed at Gap (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2024
Interview
Short , interactive , lacking information of full scope of position and salary and didn’t follow up a week after to advise of next steps even though they asked about availability for the next steps
Smooth & fast
Took all of 2 days from call to offer
I got "stood up" on the 1st day, didn't stress it too much I know retail can get crazy
Especially if there's a manager hole, usually means everyone is wearing many hats

I was promoted from within the company but I still had to apply online just like anyone else should.
My advantage was that my work history was documented. You go thru an online survey, basic questions. Nothing unusual. Some LP but mostly about customer service and personality.
If you pass that you move on the a phone interview with either the GM or a recruiter. In my case I met with the GM. Then next step usually is to meet with the Regional Director. I did not have to do this part as I was recommended for the job. The total process takes anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks.
