Pathetic Interview Process.
First HR didn't introduce himself and kept taking without any hint. I had to guess that he is an HR.
Second, I went for the interview and they gave me a machine test which was about 6 hours long. 6 hours on machine test is this justifiable? Not at all.
After this, they gave me a seat in a closed room bay, where other Genpact employees was sitting and they were discussing many internal things like 1:1, feedbacks discussion. Suddenly a person came and without introducing again he started questioning like 1) Why are you looking for Job Change and other relevant interview questions. I was very surprised to see how that person was taking an interview in an open location where other people are already sitting, I thought in my mind this even doesn't happen in Startups.
He left after asking some questions and taking progress notes on the machine test and said we will discuss this in detail once you are done with the machine test.
It was a 6 hour long machine test, and everybody left, HR, that person who asked questions and the person who's system I was using. This is a big compliance issue where I was using some other personal computer.
Anyway, After 6-7 hours I completed the test, It was really tiring and no one was there to even ask for water or HR didn't even show up during this 7 hours to even ask for lunch nothing. Then I called the guy who's the computer I was using and I told him that the machine test is done and he said: "I left for home long back, you save your work and go home".
I emailed HR that I am leaving and then he replied: "OK, leave for the day". No one was there to escort me to the gate. Those bay are live bays and people are sitting there. I had to ask someone to do a card punch so I can go out.
Then after this I returned home and waited for HR and after several reminders, HR confirmed that the machine test is negative.
Pathetic people those are, they don't even think about the people and their time. No respect at all. Basic manners are missing. Most important this is a threat to company data security that I was using someone's system with their ID and that person left for home.
