I applied online. I interviewed at Gensler (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Applied on March 2nd. The next day they requested a phone call. After the call an interview was scheduled. Took a couple weeks to finally get the virtual interview set up. It was postponed to a later date. We had the interview and it was a pleasant normal interview. Radio silence for several weeks. I had to reach out a couple of times to ask for a timeline. After about 5 or 6 weeks I was told the role has changed and they are not hiring for that position. Overall very time consuming, frustraing and unprofessional.
It took a few weeks to get an interview setup and the response was friendly. The team was nice and shared information about the work and culture . There were 3 rounds of interview with different managers .
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Gensler (New York, NY) in Jul 2022
Interview
Interview is not professional, depends on the depart controller’s personal like or unlike. Feel this old lady don’t like pretty young girl to get the job, the senior accountant being with her at the interview cannot even speak proper English, heavy accent. Feel like this old lady controller like to hire girls that not threat to her position, and you cannot have any thoughts about prompt, otherwise they will not choose you.
