Interview
I had a phone interview with a panel consisting of a technology manager, attorney, and an expert searcher. They asked me to provide a sample report subsequent to the phone conversation. A job was offered at $14/hour plus various commissions based on how many reports per month were accepted. The employment contract contained stifling language regarding non-compete clause (2 years), assignment of ANY invention to the company and permission for them to hold pay for any reason.

Easy interview. Started with an intro call and then provided a small test. overall an extremely easy process. Afterwards an interview was set up with the head of the department you were going to work with.
First round interview consisted of writing a report on patent searches for a sample problem. The report was analyzed and further questions on technical knowledge in respective fields was tested.
Phone interview with HR and hiring manager. Also was e-mailed a patent search proficiency assessment that took 4-8 hours. I did not have previous experience with patent search, but did have experience with academic literature search, so it wasn't completely foreign.
