At the time it was my first job. As the saying goes, anybody would get hired to fill a vacancy. You then had to produce results. The rewards were great. Promotions, bonuses, vacations, benefits etc. It did not matter who you knew, it was always based on how you performed.

After applying via an online job board, I was invited to set up a telephone interview for the Plant Manager - Bolingbrook, IL position with the farmer, hiring manager.
After waiting for a full half hour past the appointment time, it was clear that farmer was a no-call, no-show. How rude! I fully understand that priorities can change and emergencies can occur during the day. All it takes is a quick text, email or call to ask for a reschedule. But not here, farmer was too good for that.
Ater waiting the half hour, I called human resources to inform them I was available and that farmer was a no-call, no show. Tecchio indicated that farmer was probably busy (really??) and he was guaranteed to call me back later in the day. No-call, no show a second time for farmer… I wasn’t expecting anything else!
If this is how Goodyear treats prospective employees, I can only imagine how bad they treat actual employees. Run forest run….
This is goodyears loss…. I have 5 years of rubber compounding and rubber molding experience…. LOL
