The recruiter reached via Linkedin. Had an phone screen. After clearing that, was invited to in-person interview in the San Francisco location. The first interviewer was a Senior Engineer and he dived in straight to the question. As i was trying to solve it on the white board, he was asking follow up questions and made it interactive. I enjoyed solving the problem and interacting with him. The next interviewer was also a Senior Engineer. After he was done with the questions, he said he knew a person from my current employer and jokingly said he won't tell him that I was interviewing. I was taken aback when he declined to answer what he liked about working here. He also suggested that I would be better off at my current employer when i responded that I am looking for a role with more coding opportunity. The next interviewer was the hiring manager. He started with why i was considering leaving my current employer, then proceeded with a question which involved testing their systems. The final interviewer was a Director. Liked how he engaged me into the conversation and provided feedback as I was answering his questions. At the end of the interview the recruiter came in to discuss my current compensation, showed me around the workspace (by that i mean the snack room, ping-pong table and some arcade games) and tried to explain that I was paid well and he would try to match my current pay. He texted me the next day and I heard nothing after. I reached out to the recruiter who reached me on Linkedin and she informed that I was being considered for this position.
