I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Highmark Health (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jun 2019
Interview
Horrible interview experience. I interviewed for 2 roles and it's been more than a month, still no word about the result of the interview. I regret spending my time for such a company.
First Interview :
I had to finish a Gallup assignment and I was called for onsite interview. I had 5 rounds onsite. One of the interviewers was very unprofessional, that he came in late for my interview and he was munching on some snack constantly. The questions he posed were few of the worst I have seen in any interview. He made the interview environment hostile pushing you to a state that you don' want to ever set foot there.
Second Interview :
The second interview was over phone and it was very engaging. All technical questions. The interviewer was polite and he promised to get back with in a week. It's been a month and a half, but I did not hear back.
What is ridiculous is, you get ghosted after an onsite interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Highmark Health
Interview
The questions were normal and related to typical Data Scientist statistical and algorithm. It was first round of interview with the manager and the lead. The interview was good but I did not hear back as they were looking for more experienced persons.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Highmark Health in May 2021
Interview
A recruiter contacted me after two months, set the interview for the same week with three managers, super friendly. Got another interview next week and on the same day, I got the offer!

Interview
Very bad experience overall!
I applied online and I had a call with the hiring manager directly. The conversation went really well and we learnt about each other. After a couple of weeks, I was called for an onsite interview where I met 3 data scientists. They were really nice and we had a healthy discussion.
The only thing that bothers me is that the HR did not share the result of my interview. I took time off from my work and traveled several miles to meet the hiring team. The least I expect from the HR is to inform about the interview result. The HR ghosted me and I had to assume that I was rejected for the role. I do not recommend Highmark to anyone looking for a dynamic work culture. Everything seemed very slow and the organization structure looked confusing.
