Interview
HR/Recruiter reached out on Linkedin about position. Spoke with her on the phone, then had a phone screen with VP of analytics. Soon after I was invited to interview with the team. HR indicated that they would have a decision the following week after the onsite interview. The following week she emailed me and asked if I was still interested, I said Yes, absolutely I am interested and eager for next steps. Then she indicated that they are still interviewing other ppl. After a several weeks, never heard from her. Emails go unanswered. Its been several months and the position still open, so perhaps I'm still in the running. Needless to say, I will assume that I didnt get the offer.
Advice to HR: if the team has decided not to move forward with the candidate, have the decency to notify them instead of keeping them in the dark and ignoring their emails. Take notice that candidates take the time to prepare and go to your offices to interview in person, so please take the time to notify them if they are rejected. I dont plan to ever consider applying to your company again in the future due to this experience. Protect your brand because word does get around about the recruiting practices of "ghosting" job candidates.

Interview
I applied online, got a call from recruiter and scheduled a Phone screen with Hiring Manager, followed by a panel interview (4 team members 30 min each). Although the process is fairly quick ( 2 weeks), but they took 2 more weeks to come back to me with the below response
' We have unfortunately decided to extend an offer to the referral candidate we met with. The team also had very positive feedback to share about your candidacy, the deciding factor was that the other candidate has deeper prior supervisory experience.
Here's the thing, after I completed my loop, no referral candidate existed. I had another offer and requested to expedite the final decision but they just prolonged and wasted my team (when they already knew they would like to go ahead with their referral candidate).
Please be transparent to your candidates on your hiring decisions and respect their time.

Question 1
A lot of emphasis on programmatic Media (because this position belonged to that team) and maangerial experience.
They're looking for someone who can relocate to NYC (I needed some additional time, to make the move), and can mentor/coach two analysts. They asked me about Media-mix modeling, MTA, and performance marketing-related questions.

The interview process went very well. The recruiter I was working with was very transparent in the roles as I had initially applied for another position before she informed me that based on my skill sets that I seem to be better suited for another opening.
