I was so turned off by the call with HR that I didn’t continue with the interview process. I was asked if I had obligations outside of a 9-6, like any children, religious obligations, or classes. As an HR professional, anyone should know this is an illegal question to ask a candidate. This immediately turned me off Horizon as a company unfortunately.

Do you have any obligations outside or normal working hours: any children, religious obligations, or classes?
Wonderfully organized process, technical and personality fit questions. Interview with multiple people via video chat. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Each person has different knowledge in your specific discipline and the questions will vary.
The interview process was really smooth (in person pre-covid and by skype for interviewers in other locations) and the recruiter was great at communicating all parts of the process. The team was great in asking questions but also allowing time for me to ask my own and get a feel for the company.

20 minute phone screening with hiring manager. 30 min phone interview with the person I would directly report to. 1-2 hour in-person interview with a bunch of team members that interact with the prospective role. This also included a 30 min excel/marketing report assessment.
